Essentially, this is up to the player. Over time, other aspects are added to the gameplay loop, such as building squads or creating towns and outposts. This can include functional skills that make it easier to acquire items or those that make survival easier, such as combat skills. The player character begins with no skills, but a leveling-up system allows new skills to be learned through actions.
Early in the game, Kenshi places a strong emphasis on survival elements.
